On the Z, for a relatively safe tune, I the max I would go is a hard limit at 7800. Given how the car feels above 6500 I wouldn't be

On the Z, for a relatively safe tune, I the max I would go is a hard limit at 7800. Given how the car feels above 6500 I wouldn't be too comfortable at 8k on a regular basis.

I'm never that high on a regular basis though. Don't really ever go past 5k while I DD. Probably only get close to redline like once a week at the most. I think I'll be ok with having it set at 8k for when I need it, probably just at the drag strip.

Rarely past 5k!?!? Holy nuts I wish I had that kinda restraint! Your gonna love the Gen 3s. And just wait till you get HFCs or test pipes whuch I prefer. Itll open up your CBE a lot. Itll sound 10x better

Thats why Im at 7800. I tend to hit the limiter more often than Id like to admit. Its borderline abusive. I would have liked 8k but my car wouldnt have. If you only plan to take it up that high on a special occasion I say go for it.
