I see more of those than I do Mustangs. I agree with you on the Japanese killing the sports cars. Nissan is one of the few Japanese manufacturers left that's putting anything out that resembles a sports car. Honda and Toyota both threw in the towel years ago. Nissan pushed on with the Z, but selling 10,000 units a year (when you approved the project based on sales of 30,000/year) and losing money on the deal is not likely to get the bean counters at Nissan HQ to approve another model. It sucks, but it is what it is. The Z is a nice car, but in this environment it's difficult for a $30-45k 2 seater to thrive.
