I know 18s are better performance wise but it think they will look minuscule on that thing!

but I was thinking the anodized red centers with black lips... only red... tho this purp/black would look killer for the 300zx

I suggest you rotate front-to-rear every 5,000 miles for optimium life. Because of the rear axle on the Mustang the outside edge of the tire tends to wear a bit more especially if you drive like we do. The fronts wear evenly. If you rotate them it should be good for 12-15,000 miles. Otherwise you're going to get maybe 8k out of the rears. Quote:
If you want to do suspension stuff to the car you want to talk to Sam Strano... he's a multiple time SCCA national champ and is destroying AutoX with his 5.0. He runs 315s on 18x10 (or 18x10.5... can't remember) all around. Me... I'm just going to replace the Pirellis with 275 Michelin Pilot Super Sports all around... unless I get a new set of wheels.

Yeah, I read through Sam's thread. Lots of info in there. Trying to figure out if I'm going to be be autoXing enough/good enough at it to make it worth going with 18s. |

Dan, I've been a slacker and had not noticed your thread on the new 5.0. Congrats man! I know you've been working on something between the 5.0 or a Bimmer. Its sharp! Guess we won't be seeing you at Z Nats though eh? Either way, thats one nice looking Stang!

The SLs are still enroute. I figure mid-October arrival and then shipped here by end of the month.

I personally think those wheels look amazing. Love the colors, though your car would have to have a certain look to pull it off right. Still, I think they are beautiful.
