alright, Steve, Dan, please help me out here.
Should I order new or get used? This is essentially the ultimate question. Here's some facts: Used: 2011 Red candy, fully optioned out (navi, hid's, etc), 3.73, comfort, electronics, including optional 19's. But no Brembo. less than 2500 miles. New: obviously I'd get it the way I want it, which is probably Kona Blue but just with brembo and 3.73 Bottomline, going new would be about ~$2k more. Used or new? Would the 2011's be more prone to tranny issues?

Only buy a "new" used car if it is exactly what you want. A $2k discount isn't that much when you are talking $30k +

I would order new. There are so many options available it's the best way, it's hard to find one on a lot with the exact specs you want.
Kona is an awesome color. Regarding the transmission, I think in general 2012 is less likely to have issues as it's the second year of the build... that's true with every car. I don't think the transmission was ever a real problem, though, but that's up for debate. Just order new with the spec you want. I would not buy the non-Brembo car unless I immediately planned on a BBK and suspension mods.

Sounds like the brembo option is the key eh? You guys must have the brembo's and love it? Have you tested without the brembos? Does it really ride softer and stop slower? What's keeping me thinking about the Red Candy used, is because it's fully loaded...... the color is neat too. But I prefer Kona tho... but could be swayed I guess... lol

Was not impressed with the non-brembo option at all. Test drive an 11 right after I bought my z and it made me feel better about the z....
Then drove the brembo model...and...we know how that went. Whether you want it loaded is up to you...but I'd be suspicious of such a new car traded back in |

Aside from the Brembo brakes, the Brembo packaged cars have different shocks, springs, tires, and stability control tuning. Our sport mode is a little more liberal than the base... we can do more before it intervenes. We also sit on Pirelli PZero summer rubber vs. the base PZero Nero all seasons, which amounts to quite a big difference in grip.
