I do basically the same thing if I'm being honest.:roflpuke2:

Same here, but I mentally calculate things out as I spend and can spot a discrepancy of more than $5-10 and will go back and hunt it down. I usually pay the thing off twice a month, though.

I have seen one black centurion card in person, and it felt and looked badass!

They're relatively common in the places I've lived. Heaviest credit card I've ever seen.

The only autos I ever own are the ones my wife drives. When I had an F-150 it was even MT.

Yep, I see them used here in NOVA every now and then. At the Sunday car shows when we are all in line at the Starbucks some of the guys driving the more expensive cars pay with their AMEX black.

They are on the raspy side from the ones I have heard in person. Even with the factory H pipe.

Red__Zed 09-21-2011 08:29 AM

In nova though, you get a huge jump on things if you can pay mortgage/rent on your card. Find a place that will let you make the payment on your car too, and you are well on your way....:bowrofl:

It's so crazy, when I was in high school I worked at costco, and guys would come buy like grass seed to do their own yard work, and pay with their black card...different world

Interesting Vids to watch, since Red_Zed went to such lengths to prove me wrong. Seems like it does one thing better... Going in a straight line. LOL

Maybe because you live in VA and I live in Louisiana, lol. Yes, they do have a nice heft to them. They feel as impressive as they are. Except the bastard that used his at my restaurant didn't tip a dime.

There's another fun trick if you want free airline tickets... Well, the US Mint put an end to it in July of this year, but basically you would order as many US $1 coins as you could at a time (I think it was $5,000) and the Mint would do free shipping.

Order them on your credit card.

Take delivery. Haul them to the bank. Deposit. Pay off your card. Collect airline miles.

It was riskless arbitrage. As long as you didn't incur any interest charges, you got free airline miles.

Typical of the type of people that throw those cards around.
