Then I say keep and supercharge the Z and build a cage crate luxury seat in the hatch for the child or wife (your choice, really).

Dan, thanks for chatting with me today on the phone. Great talking/meeting you. I appreciate your honest feedback regarding the Z and 5.0. For those of you that don't know, I am seriously contemplating trading in my Z for the 5.0. My primary reason is the back seat for my kid/soon to be kids. This way, I get to drive both my wife and my son at the same time, and not having to leave one or the other.

Secondary reasons are torque and power, obviously. Then thirdly, the engine revs smoothly to redline on the 5.0 and the transmission slop/rattling/etc is smooth and more quiet compared to opposites on the Z...

I love my Z, but I feel the 5.0 might better suit where I am right now...

Dan, did I summarize?

edit: add to the fact I am getting a killer deal on my trade in and OTD price on a new 2012 5.0.

haha, I have gotten no less than 4 PM's from people today alone about the 5.0:roflpuke2:

Good chatting with you--hope you wind up happy with whatever decision you make:tup:

Thought about it...the 5.0 starts a lot of conversations with older car guys that have kinda "checked out" of the scene since the 90s...I've been having fun meeting people

I'm sure that's what it is.

"I'd better not pass. He has 100 extra hp on tap."

Sounds likely to me.

Alabama highways are just like the fast and the furious movies...passing is like an insult and an invitation to race:p

Just remember, there's always a faster car.

Nobody in a Vette is scared of that 5.0 badge. Neither is anyone in a decent Porsche.

People are more scared by the potential in the car...kinda like the way people respond when they see an intercooler.

I'm pretty sure that 95% of drivers on the road couldn't care less. Because they'd have to put down their breakfast sammitch or cell phone to read your badge anyway.

Out of the remaining 5%, half of them are equally scared of my car or anything that looks sporty, because they don't understand the varying levels of performance.

So, for the 3 guys you'll run into next month that appreciate the tuning potential of your stock Mustang... Go ahead, walk their chevy pickups.
