COME ON! I scheduled a test drive for a 5.0 and am now cross shopping it with the Z. What it will probably come down to is price and my tailbone

Never thought ford would make the mustang this amazing of a car. but tis ford...so if i wait one more model year...and then one more model year...:shakes head: cant they be like toyota or honda and not change a car for ten years?

Make sure you test a Brembo package car. The suspension is quite different than on the standard GT.

Honestly I think F14s look good on anything. They are a great looking wheel!

I like the RTR wheels, the HRE P40 design, but I figure if I get wheels I want something lighter than stock, so F14s would be a pretty good choice. I've also seen the TSW Nurburgrings on a 5.0 and they look great as well.

i'm actually toying with that idea in case of a flat.

The problem with that is that it won't fit in the spare tub, even with the tire deflated.

I just barely managed to fit one of my winter wheels (245/45/18 on a 18x9 wheel) into the tub deflated, but it makes the trunk liner sit up about 2" or so higher than normal. There is a thread on AFM (I think) where some people put together a spare package with the help of Discount Tire Direct. I think they used an 18x8 or 18x7.5 Drag wheel with a 205 width tire that fit perfectly in the tub.

Keep in mind with the Brembo car you are also going to have to get yourself a scissor jack as they don't come with one.

There's no way that V8 Vantage is only $38,495. It'd probably a typo. $88,495 is more like it.

I looked at Nurbs when I was wheel shopping. Once I saw the f14s I quickly forgot about the TSW's. Price wasnt even that much different. Too bad I couldnt say the same for delivery times:shakes head: Anyway the wait was worth it I love my Forgestars. They are a tremendous deal.

Yeah its gotta be Ive been scratching my head ever since I saw that post last night.

m4a1mustang 10-25-2011 07:21 AM

Yeah the wait time kind of sucks, but you are getting a good deal for a wheel that looks that nice and weighs somewhere in the 22-24lb range.

Something funny about those prices, IMO. They all should be $50k+

Online car ads are a haven for scammers. If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Yeah, if it's a private seller with a price much MUCH lower than dealerships, it's either a scammer, a vengeful ex-spouse, or someone with no concept of what the car is worth. And 95% of the time, it's a scammer, because if they're technical enough to list the car on the site, they're smart enough to browse around at other ads.
