Though that might be because he's in an s.

That's what I want.

Too bad they don't make a cross hairs badge to replace the fake gas cap "GT Badge" on the trunk.

No one would understand it. Hell, most young people have no clue what the Gadsden flag is. :shakes head:

What are some of the nice Z features you miss on the mustang? What are some of the non performance features that the mustang has that the Z didn't?

For example

Push button start and proximity key

Electric and heated seats (for those who don't have them in the mustang)

Non-performance things I miss from the Z:

1) The knee pads. These were a neat feature that you really don't think about until you drive a car without them. That's not to say the Mustang is uncomfortable, it's just that resting your knee against the soft pad on the Z was a cool feature.
2) The storage cubby... it was convenient.
3) Alcantara trim... it was a nice touch.

Non-performance things the Mustang has that the Z doesn't:

1) Sync
2) Trunk. It's nice to separate your luggage from the cabin.
3) Back seats... nice to have if you need them.
4) Integrated blind spot mirrors
5) Better visibility
6) More comfortable seats

So the synch is that much better than the hands free system of the Z nav?

m4a1mustang 10-22-2011 10:25 AM

I didn't have Nav on my Z so I couldn't tell you, but Sync is awesome.

Red__Zed 10-22-2011 10:36 AM

Sync is much better than the z's hand free. Not even close....though I had an 09.

Only thing I really miss is the key. I guess the nav screen, but that's not really a fair comparison.

Judging from pics I like the Aesthetics of the Z better. But comfort wins over beauty.

m4a1mustang 10-22-2011 10:50 AM

I like the interior aesthetics of the Mustang and the Z. Both are done very well IMO. The Z has a sportier feel and the Mustang is a bit nostalgic and feels a little more "grown up," but that's just me. It's definitely more comfortable, but that's not saying the Z wasn't.

Lemers 10-22-2011 10:53 AM

The only uncomfortable time I had in the Z was the 3 long trips I took. SA to el paso 500+ miles and el paso to Dallas 700+ mile each way. It wasn't until over 350 miles til the seat got to me.

m4a1mustang 10-22-2011 10:55 AM

Yeah, I drove my Z on a 1000 mile trip and the 5.0 on the return leg. It's not the most comfortable thing, but I would just make sure I stretched my legs and walked some whenever I stopped to get gas and I was fine.

I prefer the 2 seater with stuff in the cabin with me. But that's personal pref.

Also, I agree with Lemers about stickers. I just don't like them on cars. And I don't think it will keep ppl from messing with you or following. The solution is usually to first verify that they're tailing you and then go to a very public place and go inside with ppl around.

There is something "fun" about being crammed in the car with all your stuff on a long trip. Don't get me wrong, I don't not like it, in fact one of my favorite things is going on long road trips in really random cars. But for the daily I prefer a trunk.

Would you really troll a guy with gun stickers all over the back of his car, though? I wouldn't.

shadoquad 10-22-2011 11:06 AM

I don't mess with ppl in general, but bumper stickers invite conversations I don't want.
