Yeah it's srs business. There's a whole licensing class based off of a safety rating, you can get into some srs sh1t if you aren't a clean racer, or if you just suck.

It's an actual simulation, not a arcade game like GT5 and Forza. PC-based, subscription service, you pay for all of the content, requires a dedicated wheel/pedal setup. It's not really for fun as much as it is for training.

I own all of the content and have been involved since the beta testing days, so I have about $2k into it so far. :icon17:

iRacing 2.0 | The Premier Online Sim Racing Game

2k holy hell! Looks interesting.

GT5/Forza really helps with leveling the playing field since it has so many inherent driving aids really shitty people can be somewhat competitive. Not so in iRacing... they just crash and get in the way.

I drive all assists off in GT5. Unclean racers drive me nuts. I always go out of my way to keep it clean or let a faster racer by. Though not many are faster than me when it comes to GT5 ;) I like the amount of tracks in that iracing sim. Dont look like many exciting cars though. Im gonna check it out I think.

It's all real race cars and tracks. You should read about how they recreate the cars and laser scan the tracks to within millimeters of accuracy. Every little surface detail is there on all of the tracks... it's awesome.

If you give it a try I recommend you work on both your road and oval licenses. It's gobs of fun.

iRacing will probably be good for you given where your head is at. As long as you focus on 1) staying on track and 2) staying off other cars you will do well.

That's intense

I hate that word. Exclusivity. It is used too loosely here. The Z is NOT exclusive! There is NOTHING exclusive about it!

It is, however, a little rare. ;)

My 370z is exclusive, it is faster than a stock 5.0.....:stirthepot:

b1adesofcha0s 10-19-2011 12:15 PM

My 370Z is XCLUSIV ;)
