^ actually the 4.6L could hold its own quite well. Is it better than the 5.0? No. But it wasn't THAT bad. Actually, it responds to boost better than the 5.0.
What I think needed a lot of improvement on the 4.6's were the interior and suspension/handling, all of which have been addressed in the 2011+ stangs. |
I liked the 4.6. It was nothing special N/A but they are boost monsters. Easy to double power reliably with those things.

Yeah, and that 4.6 was around for quite a while...of course it was dated towards the end...

Red, if your worried about sound why not just look into an off road H or X...louder than stock, no drone, sounds Awesome!.. and a good 15-20rwhp gain...cheaper than axel backs that gain 0 hp/tq

A 4.6L V8 that made 260-315hp soounds weak to me. A 2.0L 4 banger putting out 240hp, now thats an engine. The new 5.0 is the only GT Stang that I would give a second glance at.
