I like them. My only gripe is that they use the standard brakes instead of the Brembos.

This 2011 Mustang sounds likes its a major upgrade over the previous year. Glad you guys like your 5.0's so much, but for me it will always be the 370. It comes down to what your looking for in a car, when i hear back seats, i turn and run away. I don't want back seats, don't want tons of interior room (are we talking about SUVs or sports cars?), i hate body roll and poor steering feel, ect. I also hugely value the low ride, looks and the feel of the exterior and interior on the 370z. When i first sat in the Z it was like being in a F-16, when i got in the stang 5.0 it felt like i was in a car. Like, the gauge cluster on the Z...cant stop starting at it. I just love it, where as the stang has that tacky 60's retro thing going on. But I'm always going to be a 130hp miata > 300 HP mustang kind of guy. I like small, sharp sleek cars. For me it always comes down to passion and feel and not numbers. I feel like the Z is such an experience, not so much a numbers car. On the internet, its really easy to say "my car is better because of this number".
Also, holy crap guys 100 pages of two guys talking about Mustangs? Dear god Last edited by NissanGuy23; 10-12-2011 at 12:04 AM. |

They choose the Mustang because they gave the 370z a "5/10" for sport pkg brakes, and they said the Mustang was more fun to drive, which is opinion. All other testing areas were roughly 'even'.

If it handles it handles... it doesn't matter what it's made of. Having driven both the 5.0 and the Z in anger, the 5.0 comes out on top.

On ford racing they have a SC kit that makes 624 HP and is $7500. So I buy a 5.0 w/ brembo and a 3.73 limited slip rear axle and get them to install that beast it seems to still come out around the same or cheaper than a Shelby.

Pretty much. But then you will ask yourself why you got the 3.73 gear with 624 hp.

That's where I need a smarter car guy to teach this young padawan learner. What is the best rear setup offered if you were going SC 624 HP?
