Michael Scott: Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked. But it's not like this, compulsive, need, to be liked. Like my need to be praised.

So I've been reading around and it looks like the 2013 refresh is going to be pretty nice. The GTs will be getting a facelift, all new from the doors forward with more GT500-esque styling. Like b1ades posted earlier, there is a new LCD screen in the cockpit where you can toggle through a variety of digital gauges that measure stuff like 0-60, 1/4 mile, trans temp, oil temp, oil press, a/f, etc. HIDs also appear to be standard on all of the cars now and it might get LED tails.

Dammmmittttttt....

Although, at least I beat the oil cooler-related price drop on the z :rofl2:

hmmm... sounds good so far, some DI and a power boost would be good as well, if that happens, i'm getting a new car:tup:

m4a1mustang 10-07-2011 08:23 AM

DI isn't coming (AFAIK) until the 2014/2015 MY with the complete redesign. What we know with that version is:

250+ lbs lighter than current (so 3,350lbs maximum)
Smaller exterior dimensions
Direct Injection, probably rated 450hp
IRS

Ford also says it will NOT have the pure retro-style, but will definitely look like a Mustang.

Red__Zed 10-07-2011 08:24 AM

If they do that right, I'll be swapping in for 2 of those.

m4a1mustang 10-07-2011 08:25 AM

One thing I noticed last night... Ford changed the spec on the transmission fluid for the MT82 in the 2012MY to their dual-clutch automatic fluid. I already bought my Redline fluid a couple months ago which I suppose now would be out of spec if I go by the 2012 service manual, but a bunch of people are running Redline with great results.

Yeah, me too. Sadly, though, I will be getting an automatic.

Because the it's getting a 6-7 speed dual clutch box with paddle shifters.

This is all if I get another Mustang. I kind of want an ///M or AMG for the next ride.

Red__Zed 10-07-2011 08:34 AM

At least one of my next cars will be auto. At's these days have gotten very impressive, and it will help me hate traffic less

m4a1mustang 10-07-2011 08:35 AM

Yeah, definitely. I love MT but absolutely hate it in traffic. And since I drive 14,000 miles a year to/from work... arggg!
