Pass on a good deal??
Well I've been looking at getting a new car lately and last night I passed on what possibly could of be the deal of a lifetime so to speak, I went to nissan to look at the new maxima I'm wanting a bigger car since the Z is just getting to cramped(I'm 6'5") the sticker price was 37k and I was looking to lease the car after negoiating with the sales guy the owner yes the actual owner of the dealership comes to talk with me and offers me VPP pricing as well as a phone call to the regional GM to bring the price of the lease down from 490ish + tax to 420 with tax also they were giving me 24k for my car that has 45K on it, it's a base+sport. As I sit and think about it I think I passed on a great deal but the main problem was I was hoping to lower my overall car expences and with insurance in the mix since this was a lease not a purchase I was only saving $20 a month compared to my Z
What's your guys thoughts on this??

Really not enough information ... How much you have left to pay on your Z? What's the trim level on the Maxima? Options? What's the actual negotiated price of the Maxima?

Note that according to Edmunds Nissan has a 3k rebate on the 3.5 SV. That should apply in addition to any discounts you get through negotiating. Edmunds shows the "true market value" of a 3.5 SV priced with options totaling 38.5k to be around 32k including the 3k rebate. If you have 10k in equity in your Z and the Edmunds price is accurate or close, you should be able to buy the Maxima outright for around $430 a month for 60 months (will vary some according to TTL costs). Lease should be substantially less ...
Hope this helps.
