Yes, they're Motegi Racing. The rims are 17x7, the tires are 235/45R-17. I got them as a wheel and tire package from the Tire Rack.

djpathfinder just made me fork out cash for mudflaps and the shark fin antenna

yes i live in california and people will go "what the f*ck mudflaps?" but the body has taken so many dings and chips from the recent rain, it's absurd. and hopefully it'll stay cleaner a little longer with a little less road spray.

money well spent!

Isn't that what forums are for?

Up next: performance and suspension mods. Phelan, you can be my Huckleberry.

Easy there cowboy! You can always save money for new mods in the spring.
I'm thinking about Whiteline sways too. Not so sure about coilovers/springs. It will be a winter driven car, so I want to make sure I've got good clearance.

so do I throw some winter tires on my WRX rims, or buy a full setup? And which tires do I go with?

I say buy an evo. I had an x, and drove the sti many times, the evo is simply better. Road and track referres to the evo as an insurmountable opponent to the sti. The engines are bullit proof, and 350 awhp is simply turboback exhaust uicp and boost controller away(dyno tune of course)

Full setup if you plan to keep using the stock rims in the dry/no-snow months. Mount the winters on the WRX rims if you plan to upgrade your rims for dry/no-snow.

I wouldn't call it bulletproof since I use to work on many evos as well. Then again, my standard of bullet proof is if it could hit 100,000 miles without issues or over 10 years old.

I do know 350AWHP on evo 9 and 10 seem to last a good 40,000 and the only thing to concern is a head gasket replacement (which is a WHOLE LOT EASIER TO DO ON EVO than a Subby). As far as bullet proof, I haven't seen a many evos in my area over 100,000 miles on that set up, but I haven't seen any complaints as well. At least better than many Subies going on detonation or rod knock when doing auto-x, why is their oil issues so....horrid compared to Porsche?

2011 has different oil requirements lol. And detonation? Road knock? I haven't heard of a lot of the recent ones having issues, other than the 2008 ringland debacle.
