Phelan, just a few pics to show you what the functional shark fin antenna looks like installed on my sedan.
Of course, this was the original antenna. Yours might have a different base. Visual Garage has a second version that is meant to incorporate the sat radio antenna and that should fit you. Contact them through their website if you're interested and ask them about it. VG Shark Fin Antenna - Home

I replaced my Z with a 2011 STi sedan (spark silver) back in June. All I've done is added a front strut-brace and Cobb Stage 1 running the 93-octane map (I fill with 94). It's plenty quick for my DD needs, although I would like to do the downpipe and CBE at some point. Already have my winter wheels with Blizzak LM-60s ready to go. I miss my Z, but there's no way I could use it as my DD during the winters in Canada (I moved here from Georgia, where the Z was perfect).

Oh and btw, my STi sedan turns heads all the time. People literally stop on the sidewalk as they walk by and stare. I've had plenty of compliments as I gas up or whatever too. Personally, I think it's a no-brainer that the Z looks nicer. And I actually avoid looking at my STi from certain angles. But I guess people still appreciate that it's not your average car, hence the head-turning. Indeed, my perception of the STi's looks is no doubt influenced by the fact that I had a Z. Were my reference point a more average looking car, my perception of the STi's looks would undoubtedly be more favorable.

But for those familiar with rally racing, it looks really cool. I saw a white one a few months back with real aggressive mud flaps and high profile dirt tires. I had a hard time hiding my erection. |
