opinions on 2011 Subaru STI

From reading the forums it seems like occurences are most frequent with 2008 and much less in 2010 and 11. Not too worried. Seems to occuring in stock and modified

From reading the forums it seems like occurences are most frequent with 2008 and much less in 2010 and 11. Not too worried. Seems to occuring in stock and modified and show no real correlation. I'm still proceeding with DP, CBE and Cobb AP Stg II.

Like I said, no idea if it is true or not. It might just be a rumor.

Pretty easy isn't it? I had trouble with lining up the bracket and one of the bottom holes on the right rear side, no matter what I did. I eventually used a dremel to enlarge the hole on the OEM plastic part...then the clip went in ok.

Hmm....I didn't have any issues. Installing the rears are a pain in the a$$ though. And I love how the short screws are impossible to get a screwdriver on on account of the heads being just an inch from the tire. I had to improvise with a phillips bit clamped in a crescent wrench.

I placed the bit against the tire and applied pressure while rotating the plastic clip by hand.

I took a few pre-snow pictures (with shark fin antenna, mud flaps and winter tires installed) yesterday, cause when the white stuff flies, it'll be a while before the car is this clean again.

What winter tires did you go with? I'm about to do Michelin Alpin PA3's on my Evo. I don't expect heavy snow, but it is going to be <50 degrees for three months in a row.

I'm torn between the Michelin's and these. I only lean towards the Michelin's because of the survey results below.

I expect more plowed + salted streets than deep snow which is why the Michelin's may be a better target. Also the better dry performance should carry me further into Spring.

Thanks! I definitely like the look better without mud flaps, but they're going to really help reduce spray onto the body.

I don't think you'll lose with either. I know you guys get some early morning ice on the streets and they'll both bite into the ice about the same.
