big- if you go not lowered make sure you check the factory offset and keep the width and offset conservative. otherwise it will look like a 4x4 and you will end up lowering later.

if nissan sells a 18' 'sport' wheel for your car, check the specs on that wheel and get the same or similar. GL!

18's is a must as 19's just are to big

Yeah i feel you on that man, thats actually a good reason not to be lowered. Especially since in winter months clearance maybe an issue as well, although I don't think altimas sit that low...do they?

funny you mentioned that nmj- cause last week it snowed here and every time my G went over a chunk of snow about 4" in height i could hear my car bottoming out. lol (bottom engine cover). no damage or anything.

Oh wow, and your G is stock height?

I realized that I would never drive my Z in the snow anyways, but it does help to be not lowered because many of the places I go have a lot of speed bumps and incline ramps and I almost always scratch, just imagine if I lowered. :icon17:

Altima's have a lot of clearance underneath actually more than my civic did. So if my stock wheels are 17's I should not have very many problems with 18's should I?

I want a normal ride, understandably it may be a little rougher with less tire.

Had to give her a bath yesterday foam guns are a must for black cars

my G's lowered about 1.5" and the places i take the car no scraping. :)

my Z is stock height. i dont plan on lowering her at this point. not worried about scraping, rather dont want to mess up a good thing. the car drives great in stock form and the only thing i'd like to change is stiffening up the dampers a little bit for this one dip + off camber turn i have near my area. it's not a big enough deal to me to pull the trigger on the koni's just yet. :D

big - no after shots of your wash? :D

nmjaxx9 02-28-2012 09:03 PM

LOL at lowering the DD and not the Z. But I agree better not to mess up a good thing especially when the Z looks good how it stands now. Just keep doing what you are doing with your cars. Even with scraping, atleast we know both your cars will be as clean as a babys bottom.:icon17:

Anyways, didn't mean to deviate the thread, but yeah Big you shouldn't have a problem with 18s heres an idea of how 18s would look on an altima. That wheel gap is a killer though, if this person lowered it, it would be perfect.

my G was one of my 2 hobby cars from 2004 to 2011. :D i owned 3 cars for myself until last year. i sold my dd hatch and retired my G as weekend car to dd. so this is why my G is lowered and modified. :) 8yrs old just shy of 30k miles... so she still has quite a bit of life left. it was though i gave myself a like-new condition used car for free to use as dd for 3-4yrs. :icon17:

back to big's altima. :p

Nice, no removal of the Nissan emblem? What about the front?

I'll probably keep those, in the rear the new exhaust will help balance out the car in place of the emblems. The front looks good to me, just need fog lights.

Thanks man, its crimson black or you all know it as black cherry. So there is some perl there. I do have to work on the area as I got a little aggressive with the swirl and haze remover but that will be this weekend.
Another pic this morning
