Just thought i would stop by and see what you guys think of my new purchase. Decided to trade the truck in since the transmission was starting to go and i didnt want to go through the nightmight of either rebuilding it or upgrading it. Also it sucked paying $150 every 4-5 days for gas...took up all my modding money. Plus the local road course here doesnt allow the truck so i bought a brand new 2011 Evo-X GSR.

So ill first give a little bs i had to go through to get it. I went to the near dealership to me which is Northside Mitsubishi. They seemed pretty friendly and i asked to take a Evo-X for a test drive. No questions asked they let me take out a MR (6 speed auto with the SST transmission with the paddle shifters)...power and handling felt nice but i didnt like automatic at all. So i asked can they get me a GSR. They said they have none on the lot but they will get one from another dealership. So while they were finding me one, i decided to go to the other dealerships just to see. Went to Westside Mitsubishi and told them the story and asked if i could take the GSR out for a test drive. They told me not without a $1000 NON REFUNDABLE deposit...i basically told them to **** off and left.

So few days later Northside called me and said they found me a car...a Phantom Black GSR with 25kms on it...it was at Westside. Heres the pictures i took when i went back.







So the first thing i noticed is "sweet it already has Rota's rims on it" With the papers in hand saying the vin and all that i asked can i take the car for a test drive before Northside takes the car....they said no and theres no way they are letting northside take the car.

So after 3 days of going back and forth both dealerships finally agree'd...i went back to Westside to ask about test driving the car that was going to be mine...once again they said no. So then one of the sales guys told me theres a boost controller and the turbo is bumped up to 45psi. First thing i asked for was the paper work...of course he couldnt find it so i called bs on him.

So the next day Northside finally gets the car. This was a Wed and the plan was to pick the car up on the friday since i was getting paid that day and wanted to put a couple grand down for a down payment. But i wanted the car then and there so i asked if i could take it home early and just pay them on friday...they agree'd. So i picked it up, noticed the stock rims are back on the car. Asked what that was about they said they didnt know, so i called Westside and they said "since you didnt buy the car from us, we arent giving you the rims". I flipped my lid..but gave up after an hour of fighting. I drove it home and once i got home (right after the dealership closed) i noticed the $600 i paid for 3m tape for the whole front end, only coverd 3-4 inches of the hood and thats it...nothing on the bumper or sides or mirrors. Next day i stopped at a tint shop that i been to before and asked how much they would do the whole front end (for price compairison) He said $490...and if i wanted just what the dealership did, it would only cost $100, plus they go 2 inches further up the hood.

So i went over to the dealership and raised some hell. They tried to throw a paint protection and undercoating at me for free...i said no. They tried to do the whole hood and a small piece behind the rear door...i said no. Alot of bs went on and i basically threatend to sue them...5mins later they said they will do my whole front end.

So once that was done, few days later i went and got my windows tinted to 5%. The guy was telling what a horrible job they did on the 3m tape...he showed me the cutter machine and the 2 programs they can use at his shop for it...also the material is better (more glossy and u dont even notice it on the car)...the dealership did it by hand and made alot of bad cuts.

Anyways after all that bs...here she is... With 5% tint, tinted tail lights and some debadging


















Also i went to the drag strip with 300kms on the odo...decide to break it in the way i plan to drive it. Ran 13.5@101mph with a 1.8 60ft for my first run.



This car is amazing...i keep finding an excuse to go drive it every day. I got a few mods on the way already (just a shorty antenna and a short throw shift)...im heading to Afghanistan on October 13th and will be returning in July of next year so my money goes towards paying the car off and some nice mods.

From what i heard, i am..lol. I heard they arent good for racing..they look nice but i want something that will hold up on the track. I know the stock rims are worth more, but from what they told me, i would have gotten both the stock and rotas when i bought the car....if i bought from them.

Something else that pissed me off is there is only a certain amount of Phantom Black GSR's in canada. And this dealership had 3.... (2 with the handling package and 1 without). There was a PB MR that a guy that was trading in his 2011 GT-R (couldnt afford the $3000 a month payments so he was trading it in and going -$65,000 negitive equity...he didnt like the front seats in the MR (leather)...so he wanted the cloth/suede seats from the GSR. So they are swapping the front seats out....so his MR will have cloth seats up front but leather in the back and the un-sold GSR, will have leather in the front and cloth in the back. Pisses me off that they were willing to do that but wouldnt let me test drive my car.

Well worth it though. Day after day i keep pushing the limits of the car, especially with the amount of rain we have been getting and the car does nothing but hang in there and leaves me smiling. I cant wait until i get back from over seas next year, ill be ordering...
