That's crazy! Lucky bastard....

m4a1mustang 07-13-2011 08:20 AM

Wow!

b1adesofcha0s 07-13-2011 08:22 AM

And it was a Camaro SS too!

I wonder if the person who put it up for sale got fired? That's a huge loss on their part.

CBRich 07-13-2011 11:09 AM

That is so stupid lucky.

The news failed to say how many/price of the bids he purchased. He could have purchased thousands of dollars in bids.

$5 is equivalent to about 500 bids and that goes for about $500 maybe a bit less.

^ it also fails to show how much $ he has spent on other attemps on winning stuff to date. It's like gambling. I can walk in and spend $5 and win $5,000 but if I spend a few decades gambling all my extra money away, how much am I really ahead?

True. I assume he didn't spend too much because penny auctions have only been around for less than a year.

The video said it was his first attempt at bidding for a car.
I agree he got very lucky, but I will not be using any of these sites.

Synack 07-14-2011 01:04 PM

I'm going to watch the car sites. I make enough money to get whatever electronics I want. Cars on the other hand..... not so much.
