Best thing to do is go on the USAA.com website and do a search for the particular model you want. Any dealership in a military town is going to fvck you on pricing, they know how much you make and can afford. I was quoted a price of 29.5 here in Lawton, and they wouldnt move. Drove 2 hours to Lewisville, TX and got mine for 27.5, i'm sure it would be the same case for a GT500, if you're willing to drive, you can get a deal. I'd fly across the country if it were possible to find one for a little over invoice.

I understand what you're saying about a $45k car beating a $150k car but I still don't see the industry considering the Shelby a "super car"

Funny you say that because a went to my hometown of SA over 500 miles from El Paso to buy my Z.

Trust me I would look around. I'm just saying not ever ford get the mustang and they know how far away they all are. Little reason for them to deal.

Your wife sounds like mine. She says the same thing, and I also have 3 kids. But we have a minivan as the family car that's paid off, and I take good care of it.

You're not cheap, you just have champagne taste on a beer budget. I wouldn't pay that kind of money if I didn't have it or knew I couldn't afford it.

Screw that ish.

Shelby is not worth it to me... I would take the Boss 302 (in either form) over the Shelby.....

I would have no problem buying a Shelby. I can afford it. I make plenty a month, I have a great credit score, I have plenty in the bank for a down payment. I just grew up in a house where cars were deemed transpartation and not recreation. It took a year deployment for me to convince myself to spend $36k on a car in the first place. My wife tried to get me to buy a conv g37 when the didn't have the coupe w/ 6mt. That would have been the same cost as the Shelby I saw.

I feel you on that man. I was raised the same way.

I coulda paid cash for a Shelby, still thought it was too much money for a car...

I'm slowly breaking down though. It might be because everything else has gotten so expensive.

When people think I bought the most expensive car I could afford I ask them the question about the Honda. I think it stupid for someone to think I couldnt have gotten a Shelby, a cayman, or even a GTR because I bought a Z.

Just seemed random. That's all

I have a lot of respect for people that live below their means. Takes humility.

Word! I can easily afford a GTR but it just doesn't make sense to me. I want the price of my cars to be an afterthought... I like too many expensive things to be spending all of my money on one!
