when my mom was shopping for a small hatchback...the VW sales guy had the same sales pitch about the doors.....he slammed it with all his might, and he hung on the door (not to this guy's extent), but he rolled down the window, and pushed down with all his body weight. this was back in 2008 when we went to the dealership.......sure it's impressive that it withheld all of that.....but really? who slams their doors like that? and who will hang on the doors with all their body weight also????
