I love old Viper GTS coupes, especially in that color.

Hey there's no hatin' in this forum LOL! At least I didn't trade the Z for it  I love my Z cars and can't part with them. The Viper is a beast anyways and I can't take it out every weekend. With a Roe supercharger and 3.55 gears it can be a chore to drive but it's fun. At least with the 370 I can relax while I drive it.

The Blue/White is the best color. My car is a 96 so it has the better stripes but regardless the car will always look sweet unlike a 80's Countach LOL!

c41006 05-09-2011 03:16 PM

Very nice!

ClemsonWill 05-09-2011 03:21 PM

Looks great! I can't wait to see the wheels mounted.

ChrisSlicks 05-09-2011 03:22 PM

Sweet! Now bring it to one of our auto-x events so that you can learn how to drive it :)

Mike 05-09-2011 03:23 PM

very nice!

ImportConvert 05-09-2011 03:23 PM

Very sick! I decided to go with a 'vette instead, but this was my other choice. Would you mind doing a write-up and letting us know how the car performs? I am very curious to see what "the path not taken" is like! Nothing compares to a Viper in the looks department imo. Many can argue this or that about performance, but pull any car up next to a Viper at a gas station and argue all you want, the Viper draws the crowd!

:iagree: That design was sick from the beginning, and it hasn't aged a day imo.

730rwtq at 2400RPM is not ideal for autocross LOL! I'm putting Pilot Sport Cups on my new rims so we'll just have to see how much grip I have.

svmtbman 05-09-2011 08:02 PM

Awesome car, love the color!

red6spd 05-09-2011 08:04 PM

That was my first model car ever, same color and all. Its also my dream car. Keep the pics coming.

Lemers 05-09-2011 08:13 PM

Sweet ride

One of our veterans auto-x's a Gen-1, not as much power as yours but he does pretty well with it when he has slicks mounted. On street tires it is a bit of a handful.

Same here! Hot damn, I'm jealous!

URNEXT! 05-09-2011 09:04 PM

Thanks for the comments guys  I should have the new rims by Thursday. I'm pushing to have the rims on the car for Kaizen Tuning's open house this weekend. I did some research on brake rotors tonight so I'll probably have a nice set on the car soon. I plan on cleaning up the engine bay a bit (new lines, clamps, ect.) and that will be it for a while. I'll post some new pics soon.

SmoothZ 05-09-2011 09:16 PM

So details! Did you find the car locally or on CL or ebay or what?

Edit: One of the reasons I don't buy my dream cars is because I can't afford the insurance and maintenance. Sucks...

FL 4Motion 05-09-2011 11:15 PM

wow, nice pickup. Love those vipers.

JapanLio 05-09-2011 11:44 PM

Beautiful, congrats !

Boost_lee 05-09-2011 11:53 PM

I believe the car was on ebay but one of my Viper buddies sourced the car for me. The car was located in New Jersey so it wasn't a big hike for me to get it.

Maintenance isn't too bad, I do all my own so I'm not worried about the dealer premium. I bought a factory service manual so all the reference material I'll ever need is in hand.

Insurance on the car runs me a little under $700 a year which is a tad higher than what I pay for my Z. I just turned 29 (car was a b-day present to myself LOL!) and have a good driving record and great credit. The one thing that makes these cars hard to attain is that most banks will not finance a car this old. If they do then chances are they won't give you anywhere near the full cost of the car.

A.J@CarbonSignal 05-10-2011 05:35 AM

I love this shape and the color is my fav too. Good choice buddy post more pics once the new wheels are on

You said it!

Banks tend to get real shaky past the 5-year mark on a car. However, the Viper could be argued as a collector item given production numbers and rarity. Depends on who you bank with.

I bought my Z as a birthday present to my self, quite a coincidence! CONGRATS AGAIN, and happy birthday belated!

We need some pics of that V10 :)

URNEXT! 05-11-2011 07:21 AM

I'll try and get some new pics shot tomorrow. It looks like its going to rain any minute. If everything goes right I'll be putting the new rims on the car tomorrow. Fedex should be arriving shortly :)

CBRich 05-16-2011 03:56 PM

I had a neighbor with a Viper when I was a kid. I always did want one. Looks great.

Jeffblue 05-16-2011 04:02 PM

wow that is sick! how much did that cost you if you don't mind mentioning. How many miles are on it?

Waiz 05-16-2011 06:42 PM

That thing is a beast!

URNEXT! 05-22-2011 05:00 PM

New pic on the first post :)

Waiz 05-22-2011 05:30 PM

:yum:

Wheels make it even better!
