My wife and I are expecting in the next month or so, so unfortunately it's time for me to trade in the Z. I've narrowed my choices down to the BMW 335is Coupe and the new Mustang 5.0, what would you guys reccommend? I've test driven both and they are both amazing imo.

The 5.0's backseats would get annoying really fast if you had to strap a kid back there because its tight to get in. There is no way a 335i wouldn't be a better family car. However, the mustang has awesome performance, but the bmw isn't bad either.

Also, you will save an absolute bundle on purchase price with the Mustang. That all being said, though, that 335is is a beautiful car overall. Why haven't you considered the G37 coupe - alot heavier then the Z but drives very nice (I used to have G35 coupe myself)

Yeah I'm really torn. I knew how good the 5.0 engine is, but I was shocked at how well the 335is performed, it is very close to the M3 (I guess that's the intent of the is over the i though).

I wouldn't ever want to try to have to use my back seats. I can't imagine what it'd be like getting a kid in/out of there.
IMO a 4 door would be a far more practical choice... a 335i sedan would be a good one. It will make your life MUCH easier and you'll still have a lot of fun with it.
