As far as room is concerned, if your wife is a small woman, a little one (5-8 years old) would be ok, but the back seat is pretty cramped. The Stang will be cheaper to mod and maintain, but for a family, I definitely would pick something else.

I'm pretty sure the IS is a lot more than a tune though - M3 suspension bits, M3 wheels, different front and rear bumpers, performance exhaust, M3 steering wheel and other interior components. It seems to be a pretty decent package.

Fine, I'll be the first to say it: keep Z and get beater family car.
This is a Z forum after all people. Betwn those two choices OP, i'd go for the 335is SEDAN. Or perhaps a G37s sedan instead for less $... |

The 335 seems like the more family friendly car, especially the sedan.

But it'll also blow its own motor in the process with all that boost. Regardless, I'd pick the BMW for its sophistication, better road manners, balance, interior, and (objectively) better looks. |

I'm not going to argue. But you might want to do your hw. People have had these tunes for over 60,000 miles sometimes. And the boost isn't that high. All their engines are fine.
