Sticker Price On Porsche & Failure To Listen

Porsche is a "higher end" car, and they are loath to discount. GM, Ford, Nissan, etc, don't have a reputation to protect regarding exclusivity, they sell Altima's, Cobalts, and Crown

GM, Ford, Nissan, etc, don't have a reputation to protect regarding exclusivity, they sell Altima's, Cobalts, and Crown Vic's.

The "crappiest" car that Porsche sells is the Boxter, which is still totally awesome compared to the "low man on the totem-pole" from more "working man" car companies.

You are not going to have a dealer cutting sale price "just to move a car" with Porsche.

The Louisville dealership just knocked $11,000 off the sticker on a 2010. Granted it was a 2010, but $11,000???

I am trying. I emailed them two weeks ago, and got one response. Then after a couple of more emails and no responses from them i emailed their sales manager and asked if anybody down there would be interested in selling me a Cayman. And if so, please email me back, if its not too much trouble.

The sales manager emailed me back shortly thereafter, apologized for their lack of response. I told them what i wanted and they said they would see what they could find. That was five days ago, and i've heard nothing since.

Is there any Porsche dealer out there anywhere that would be willing to work with me, and help me buy a Cayman? You would think in this economy they would be bending over backwards. guess not though.

Question

Mike,

Did you join the Planet 9 forum? There are dealers at that forum who can help you if you want new. Also, in their classifieds you will find used ones too.

The Louisville dealer just knocked $4,000 off the sticker on a 2011. If they give me a really good trade in value i am going to pull the trigger.

Man, just think, i might be driving a Porsche in the near future...
