What's SCDP?
Not bad but seems like a fairly conservative tune.. I wanna see if 400hp is possible on the stock block. |

Not bad, but with a new turbo and aggressive tune they should be able to make 400hp.
It'll be interesting to see how much HP this block can handle stock. Turbo lag is pretty apparent. |
Hehe, its a dynojet. We can make almost the same power with an intake and exhaust. I'm not hating, but when I had a 30R on my STI, I made 400whp no problem. A buddy of mine is making over 400whp on the stock block with his 3076r and has been for over 30k miles. This isnt impressive for a turbo that size. Same with another friend that has a 30r on his evo which is also a 2.0l 4banger.
They could have made the same power with a smaller turbo with less lag. Bye bye usable power, hello dyno numbers. Just unhook the wastegate line and that will get you some serious bragging rights! Again, not hating, but if you're going to post stuff online, there will be criticism. 341whp on a dyno jet is a little too soon ;) Props for doing it so soon though... |
You're right. There are 20g sized turbos that make that kind of power on STi's and Evo's.

Damn dude..How many sites did you post this on? In the past couple of days. Ive seen this thread or similar posts by you on 3 different bmw sites, while looking up some stuff for my wife's E90.
I admire your zeal for this car..But is it a genuine like for the car or do you work for Hyundai in someway? :icon17: Disclaimer: Im just ribbing you a bit.. So don't take it the wrong way. ;) Peace |

Yes Ryan. |
theres evo 9's runing 450+ on stock turbo.. these gen motors should be good to close to 500whp if they are anything like the Evo X motor which they are except detuned and different cams , smaller turbo. we 370z crowd need to get going!! FI where are u?
|
^^ I cocur with your statements. It seems like this Gnesis uses the decafainated version of the 4B11 thus it needs to be beefed up in other aspect before we see any bigger gains(twin scroll, better exhaust manifold, bigger injectors off course, bigger TB, etc).
The initial obstacle on the genesis from what i read on AMS and Buschur was the fuel limitation, the injectors are nearly their full duty cycle at around 5500rpm(with the boost raised). On the other hand the turbo can crank up more due to its size so realistically it comes down to what I said, this is a very decafeinated version of the 4B11 on the Evo. By the way, did you trade your evo for the 370z? my .2c |
i did trade it in.. and i miss it everyday.. i want to get another one soon for track use. Id like a RS 2004.. ill still havnt had the guts to sell my FP RED turbo and GS2 cams and springs and retainers.. my evo had 65k and needed a lot of lil work.. brakes , rotors, windshield, rear bumper, timing belt service replacement, ect ect.. figured id sell it now, and maybe this fall try to pickup another.. but that would mean i couldnt turbo the 370.. mmmm what to do

Beyond Redline is an awesome place. A bunch of buddy's had their cars tuned their. I am surprised to actually see that they did that so quickly.
|
with all the bolt-ons + cams 35r turbo and tuning i think then gen will hit 450ish whp maybe 500 with race gas.. i think there are only a handfull of Evo X's over 500whp rightnow.. anymore then 500 and your going to have to build the motor.. im more interested to know how their tranys hold up
