Hello again everybody,
Its been a long, long time since i have posted on here, hope everybody is doing well! Anyway, I am still enjoying my 2009 Monterrey Blue 370Z with the polished aluminum wheels. However, I am thinking seriously about trading it in for a Porsche Cayman. Was just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the Cayman or if anybody has had one or driven one. Thanks, and I am looking forward to your comments. Mike |

The car is well received here. It costs 50% or more. You will also get hammered on the trade in with your Z.

I would consider a used Carrera or Boxter.
My big boss bought a Cayman. If he ever sold that would be a solid choice. If I could afford a Porsche, I'd be driving one. Good luck and don't forget pics. |

lol if I wanted to I could of gotten a cayman/boxer.
but I hate porsches. they look outdated/overpriced and too expensive to maintain. looks like I really don't like german car brands. I don't like BMW,audi, mercedes except for their hyper cars/porsche. im more for japanese/british cars aston martin ![]() though my most favorite car brand is still lamborghini. |

In the past I test drove the Porsche Cayman and Porsche Cayman S before I purchased one of my previous Z’s. The Porsche Cayman base version was under powered to me and was not what I thought it would be. The Porsche Cayman S was faster and is a nice vehicle to own but I don’t think the car justified paying the price tag not worth it at all to me. The maintenance schedule costs that of a glorified trust fund baby. Hope you have the funds when you get problems with it good luck. Parts and labor is expensive. Trading in your Z will be a mistake you will get royalty screwed on the trade even though Japanese sports cars have good resale value overall. If you are considering selling your Z sell it out right so you can get what your Nissan 370Z is actually worth don’t screw yourself. I would never purchase the Porsche Cayman or any Porsche for that matter. Knowing people how owned Audi’s in the past their dependability/reliability leaves a lot to be desired. If I were considering another vehicle I would wait until 2021 or 2022 for Nissan to unveil the 400Z or purchase a used GTR. I support Nissan and keep it real.

I agree, I would not even consider a Cayman unless it is the S. While the base Cayman has impeccable manners, fit, and finesse, it would be a step down from the Z in my opinion.
