If u can swing it you gotta do it. I love my Z but if I coukdget an RS4 with low miles that I could afford I'd do it, but there's no way I could afford it right now. The RS4 is a beast.

Same here. Love my Z but if I could pull off a low mile RS4 I would be rocking that LOL... What color is the RS4, I love the red and yellow.

Idk about the Philippines but an RS4 costs twice the price of a nismo Z. The RS5 is coming next year. Beautiful and amazing but you can have a gtr for the same price. Or get a used one and throw $10-20k of mods at it

I wouldn't do it. The B7 is a generation old, and the interior for such an expensive car isn't that pretty. It's a great car, but carbon buildup is a widespread plague on the 4.2 in the RS4. Take a look at some dynos of the car, you'll notice they dyno about as much as a 370Z does, because of all the build up. The car's performance begins to notably degrade, and since you're looking at a used one, I wouldn't surprised if its already building up carbon.

Doesn't work. Audi takes the motor apart and uses something much, much stronger than seafoam to flush all of the gunk away - especially around the manifolds. A good friend of mine is the master tech at my local Audi, and his advice is to drive any 4.2L V8 Audi makes with some authority. He sees a lot of carbon buildup on S5s driven by women and older men, who admit to driving them really easy. The S5s that are driven hard on occasion don't have the build up.
Due to the rarity of the RS4, he's serviced a handful over time for carbon and once again, the ones running well are driven by younger and more enthusiastic guys, while others with carbon by older types just looking for a nice cruiser. For whatever it's worth, my Audi A6 4.2L drives beautifully. All 340 ponies gallop proudly when I mash the throttle...and that's because I make sure to give the motor a nice workout sometimes. |

The RS class of audi's are much more rare than Z's and they look noticeably different than the standard Audi's or even their S counterparts (RS4 looks a lot differernt from an S4 - lower, wider fenders, different exhaust, different wheels, different front). Depending on location many are special order and it's not often that dealer's have them.

Without a lot of weight reduction, pretty much all the Audi's with the exception of the TT-RS and R8 models can be classified as "touring cars". They are comfortable, luxurious, make good power, and are smooth as silk at high speeds and handle well on the road. When you get them on a track or AutoX the weight really hampers the performance even with full aftermarket suspension. So it's really all about what you're looking for in the car.
