Co-worker (loves mustangs) said someone is complaining on one of his forums that he cannot order the Boss with sync. :rofl2:
|
I find it strange that ford limited the option of the synch when it really doesnt effect the rest of production on the car.

This car was built focused as a track car. Adding sync would do nothing but bloat the price (and perhaps the weight?). I love what they did with this car. They took the normal GT, and beat the snot out of it for a year on various tracks, and basically told the engineers everything they needed to "fix" in order for it to be highly competitive on the track.

Just saying that if I was in the market for the boss I'd want the synch. It's not that much heavier than the regular radio that goes in it.

I agree. I love the Boss, but I'd never use it as a daily driver. It'd be a weekend warrior / track queen only. Plus you don't need no stinkin' stereo when you've got side-pipe cutouts. |
I just can't spend that much money on a car and not drive it every day. And I would use the red key on the road.

Inspector: sir I'm afraid you failed emissions
Boss owner: try this blue key |

...:eekdance: I actually called two ford dealers, and was actually just about to go check out the website.
I never thought I would see the day I would ever be looking at a Mustang... I'm scared :wtf2: |

If you get in a new BOSS at MSRP, it will be a "good deal", considering. Ford seriously failed to deliver with the new GT500, considering SVT claimed they ran VIR in 2:58.XX and yet the Lightning Lap pegged the car at 3:04, and noone has yet come close to SVT's time. I am waiting until this BOSS is independantly tested to say more than "It looks like a good idea, and the "track key" is a neat feature". |
