I was waiting for this to happen. Too bad he didn't do it on his own years ago.

^Really you think so? Everything I've read up on him states that he just made a lot of really poor decisions. I think the unions get blamed for a lot more than they deserve, but don't get me wrong I'm not exactly a fan of unions.

No but at the same time GM has done a piss poor job of running itself and THEY asked for the partial government investment. It may not be the right thing but GM chose this over chapter 11 which also would have kept them alive.

Although the market did drop 250 points on obama doing that. Maybe he should have left well enough alone. After all, GM did decline getting more money, stating they were doing ok.

Obama has done his homework in making this decision.

I'm sure he has. Not saying he didn't, in fact, I'm not even saying it's a bad decision to replace wagoner per se. I'm just saying I dont feel ultra comfy with a prez who just axes CEOs without running it by anyone. If bush did this, people would be flipping out at the audacity.

It is a scary thought. What pissed me off was, he(wagnor) took the bailout money and then started layoffs at GM.
