Come on, now. Maintenance costs are just a way to assure continued exclusivity regardless of depreciation :happydance:

haha. at first i was worried about the lack of power steering but then i saw a video clip of a girl in a bikini driving it. so, if she could drive it, it could not be that heavy but then i read that they would have to remove the engine to service the car and it would cost about $10k. you would have to love that car a lot to buy it. i love it but not enough to buy it :)

Especially considering that your average driver in a 370Z would run circles around on performance-wise. The Testarosa is purely about passion at this point. For someone who grew up watching Hawaii Five-Oh and just HAS TO have one as part of their bucket-list.

What luxuries is the 370Z Touring missing?

I can't get over all the luxuries it has :)

The 7000 mile service for my buddies Lambo starts at $8,000.00

Most of the time is not that you can afford the price of the car.

It is if later down the road you can afford the service price of the car! ;)

if you add depreciation, insurance cost to the service cost, he could probably buy a new small car every year for what it costs to drive the lambo :)

You want to talk about expensive with "luxury cars"? I drove a freakin' 04 Mini Cooper S (which actually IS a BMW now, technically), the power steering pump alone was $600. Labor not included, just the unit. It actually was a common problem and something that did not happen to me thankfully.

However, the driver side window motor and regulator had to be entirely replaced. The car was used and out of warranty and the parts + labor was over $1000 if I remember correctly!

Luckily I did all the work myself. My prize was a working window and a BMW special tool :icon17:

PR, you still on the forum? Because I just got back from San Juan, and all I have to say is I can completely understand why you traded the Z for an M5. The roads are probably the worst I've ever been on..and I live in Pennsylvania, which routines gets rated as having the worst highways in the country. I have never seen so many potholes, even around here in winter.

While I was there (for almost a week) I saw one 40th anniverary, and one black roadster. Saw a couple vettes, couple of Cayman S, and not much else in the performance department.

Hope you enjoying the Beemer!

I read this WHOLE thread only to find out dis guy didnt even post any new pics of "his" M5 he was bragging about! I think that was pretty lame . Although I was enlightened by the maintenance costs on M cars. Maybe he sold the M and got one of those new Fiats 500. who knows:confused:
