Default 350z underwater

Found this on Youtube while watching videos of flooding in Miami. This is the main reason im having a hard time finding a condo to buy in South Beach. Most in my price range only have street parking and this is what happens with just heavy rains, not even a hurricane.

You don't just need a garage. You need higher ground. Good luck on your new home.

There are no hills in Miami Beach. The place im renting right now has a parking garage so my car sits safely 6 floors high. But i want to move out to the beach and only places with garages cost like 400k+ for a 2bedroom and have HOA fees of like 800+ a month.

But thats all besides the point lol... i just got a chuckle that the video started with a Z getting towed out of the water.

Underground parking must be as scarce as hen's teeth!

What do you guys think the damage would be? Like if i had my 370z on the street and a flood happened and the water got to say knee high. Do you think it would get in the vehicle? Do you think just letting the Z sit and drying out all would be fine?

Speaking of underground parking i was watching another video of flooding in SoBe where the garage was underground. There was no flooding on the street cause it was all running down into the garage and was high enough to reach the window of an SUV in the garage.

From my experience, you will need to change the oil. On top of that you will get a nasty smell in the car. Smelled like weed to me. You will have left over dirt and derbies from the water. You may also have electrical problems with floods that are knee high. Not too sure what else.

I had a 92 prelude back in highschool and it was parked on a spot where water collected. Well after school I found my car under nearly a foot of water. My dumb *** turned it on not knowing anything and the car would sputter like crazy and would want to turn off. I manage to take it home and left it there for 3-4 days. After the 3-4 days of drying, it ran perfectly fine with the nasty oil in the engine.

My 350Z got water inside and the water was only up to the bottom of the door. How the water got inside the passenger side, they could not tell me. I was without the Z for a month because that was during the storm in Central Florida back in Summer of 08 that a lot of cars and houses got flooded.

However all they did was take all the carpet out, let it dry, grease and check all the connections and order new padding. Since the dealer did the work everything was cover under the dealer even after the regular warranty has expired. The insurance paid for all the work and rental car.
