I own a massaged Zo6, heavily massaged GTO twins, and a lightly massaged Busa. Along with my 370Z which has INCREASINLY become my go to car for quick errands

I still have a 08 Sonata....and if you really think Hyundia is garbage , you've got another thing coming......its solidly made, interior is excellent ( black leather limited edition) and its the most abused car i own as far as not taking good care of it..

Of course the LSx engine cars get there oil changed on time, and i'm constantly waxing and cleaning them.... they are hot rods...with a semi supercar mixed in. (So does the 370) charging batteries ect.....cause they sit...can't drive em all.
..
the Hyundai i park and forget about ..till i need it. When called upon it, its like a Rolex. No Noise( wind) or squeaking) runs surprisingly strong for only 230hp brakes well, tracks perfect.
starts on the first crank.. cargo space...cant compliment the black interior enough!!..hyundai calls it the limited edition..it really looks good, front and back, its nimble and the V6 seem bullet proof...so far... trust me when you have high hp cars you abuse the lowest one Only due to the fact you expect a certian amount of ummph! when maneuvering, passing, crossing streets and merging.

The Hyundai even gets drive through car washes....something i never do to the others..and still its a good car. tthe paint has no orange peel...and is bland but quality bland.

Don't get hung up on a name......i had a 84 dodge colt turbo... talk about bad names...it handled and was faster than the Z28 of the same year( i know it was a mitsu but its 105 Hp 1800lbs car could fly in that era)

Hyundai is definitely a good company....your seem to be stuck on a name.

So if the Genesis was a twin turbo awd 3.8 for 35k.....youd walk because it a hyundai.....( of course after its been proven)

the Genesis is a Gran Tourer....it could handle and brake more like the 370 but it doesn't...

Hyundai is just stupid pricing it so close to the competition....and not budging on price. The car is great if they price it 3-4 k lower than a comparable 370Z and hopfully it will happen..They are cocky right now ( due in part to all the hype.)...you want a great family car thats safe/ reliable and has pep....the Sonata is hard to beat. i admit i took the hyundai name off and only the front/ rear center emblems are on

Its just not a bad car in every sense of the word......they balanced it well. So i assume the Genesis has to have the same quality if not better. but not at there price!!!!!

honestly i would never buy a Hyundai even if it had 400hp. doesn't matter how good it looks because people are still going to look down on it. if i had the money to buy a car for tasks only i would get a Honda accord.

i always thought of Hyundai as a cheaper knock off version of Honda. Like the fake Gucci bags and such. :roflpuke2:

Hyundai's stepping it up.
Movin on up, movin on up!
I think we'll be seeing many genesis' and I can't wait to see it in person.
It's a great looking car but it's really a heartbreaker with its hp/tq.
:<
I see them taking many civic tuner's!

Sadly you don't get it. regardless if its a copy...what isn't....It not a cheap knowckoff....a cheap knowoff would fall apart......the car itself is solid.

You missed the whole point....i can show up in a Zo6 .or a retrofitted frnt and rear GTO....( it looks like a saleen some say And looks good) or the 370z everyone here imsure agree's its anice car..... but i often take the unused Sonata...due in part to its stealth...not attracting unwanted attention... and its solid reliability......i never said i was impressed with how fast it is..its ok.

Its just your so wrong....its won many awards when compared to the 2005 sonata vs 2005 accord or camry...its target which upgraded the folowng year..in 05 they had caught them and beat them at there own game.

i find it fascinating....that scompany could give rise so fast , from basic transport ...to reliable. and now almost sportcar. give them another couple of years....by 2011 they be right in the middle waging war with the best around them.

^you sound like a dealer in Albany that was trying to sell me on the "New Genesis" last year when we were looking at an STI and a Subie/Hyundai dealership. The car didn't even exist and he was trying to sell me on it. :icon14:

So your purchase decisions on cars solely rests on what perceptions you might give off to others? This is a characteristic of a follower, not a leader. Here in America, we value and revere leaders more often than not. I myself am the latter. The opinions of others of what they think of me has little influence over what I do in life. How sad so many people place image maintenance as their top priority goals. But keep doing what your doing though. Its your life.

everyone seems to forget how different the auto market was 20 years ago. Hyundai may not have the same PRESTIGE (yes i said it) that the top 3 JP automakers have but It's current line up is a step in the right direction. Def agree on stupid pricing though considering that the top of the line model has #s comparable to last gen G. They are only doing what nissan should be doing for us - giving the consumer a turbo 4 banger. Where the hell is our 2500 lb Silvia?
