Most of the parts being used in our Monster STi build are compatible with the WRX, and the block SHOULD be able to handle these kinds of numbers. However, you're slightly limited because of the 5MT in the WRX. Especially when put under extreme loads (track racing).

I wouldn't expect the WRX to be a track beast. However, I've driven the WRX a couple of times, and while the chassis is generally fairly responsive, I agree that there is still some slop. Would be nice to have a few small upgrades just for the commute and some..er...'spirited driving'. Such as some of the braces and stuff, I think.

This past weekend, we decided to bring the Forged Performance 2011 STi to the annual gathering of Nissan's called ZDAYZ. This four day event began with the 4th Annual Top Dawg Airstrip Shootout that we sponsor each year at the Hendersonville Airport. Running E85 and 23psi of boost (we bought 200 gallons to feed our STi and GT-R), we made dozens of 40-140mph passes down the airstrip. The STi never missed a beat and performed flawless and still on the stock block.

After Thursday's event, we headed to Deals Gap and enjoyed the next three days hurting many a sport bike owner's feelings. With near infinite amounts of grip, phenomenal brakes, and terrific power the STi was a dream to drive through the twisty stuff.

Today we received the heads that will sit atop the Manely 2.6L stroker in our 2011 STI. The heads have been reworked with CNC porting, Manely oversized valves, Manely Beehive springs and retainers.

Another update for everyone. We installed the PASSPORT 9500ci in the 2011 STI. This is a really sweet system!

The PASSPORT 9500ci is the ultimate custom-installed radar and laser defense system. With blistering all-band radar protection and precise laser "shifting" technology, speeding tickets can be a thing of the past. ESCORT continues to lead the industry by incorporating its patented GPS technology that automatically identifies the source and location of all radar signals. Real threats are processed in less than a second, while false signals are learned and eliminated. Now all you have to do is drive!

The PASSPORT 9500ci is completely undetectable to all radar detector detectors, keeping you unseen and unnoticed. Crystal-Clear Voice Alerts, Speed Alert™, Safety Warning System and its stealth installation make the PASSPORT 9500ci the ultimate in discreet protection. The all-new PASSPORT 9500ci is the Mack-Daddy of all radar and laser detectors. For those who only want the best in their vehicle. It is the ultimate balance of long-range performance, intelligent signal processing, simple intuitive controls, and the best overall driving experience ever developed. And, it's an ESCORT.
