Chevy Camaro SS Laps Nurburgring In 8:19
 

The 2010 Chevy Camaro SS officially lapped Germany's Nurburgring in 8:19. How does this stack up to other GM products?

As you can see, the new Camaro SS is quicker than the Pontiac G8 GXP around the 'Ring but, predictably, slower than both the Cadillac CTS-V and Corvette ZR1. At a fraction of a cost it's hard to complain about the performance.

That is actually a very good time (especially for the $$). Did the 370Z record an official lap yet?

They got 8:20 back in July. At least they are consistent.

PS, the cobalt did it in 8:22, lol.

So what did the 370Z do? Does anyone remember how the 350z perform?

I remember the 370 at the nurbur sometime in October, but oddly enough, I can't remember any numbers coming from it.

my guess will be for the 370Z 8:09 - 8:11. We just have to wait and see!

unoffically the word is the 370Z has done "the ring" < 8minutes ( how much remains to be seen..

I doubt the 370 will be able to crack the 8 minute mark. You need serious power on those straits to come close to 8 minutes.

WOW it beat the 350. Interesting

That 350Z was 2003 and had about 50 hp less and didn't handle as well than the current Z. A great car in it's day, it's really no comparison to the new Z.

Will be interesting to see how the NIMSO 370Z does once it's out.

Nismo 370Z will compare to the 09 Cayman S....
