The juke looks like a fun daily driver to me. Saw it at the dealer but never test drove it. Even it the next z generation has a diesel turbo ill might consider it.

Yes, the reviews have been fairly positive that I've seen. I just don't know about those lights on the top of the hood!

Saw a real live Juke for the first time today in the parking lot at work. Looks like it could be a fun, practical vehicle. I could see my wife wanting one, or even me down the road when the bad weather car is due for replacement.

If the next Z has a diesel turbo, I will:

1. Keep my Z34....
2. Pick up the next RX7
3. Pick up the new Lotus Exige equivalent....
4. Chill on sports cars for a bit and play with the CX7.

What's wrong with a diesel turbo? (although I personally don't think Nissan will go this way)

I think it looks really cool actually, thats what adds to its allure I think, apparently they are selling like hotcakes, none of the dealers around here have been able to keep them in stock, i'm going to have to drive 180 miles well into Texas to get it!

they look pretty cool in person, alot different from the pics for sure, i'd liken it as a cross between a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Rogue. It was cool to mash the pedal and hear the whistle of the turbo, the compressor literally is the size of my fist lol.

You've been targeted, son!

I think that a hybrid car its not a pure sports car, maybe you can have a great chassis design but the heart of the car, the soul, its not of a true sports car...

Diesel, meh, too much torque to me, I like high rev cars better...

the best for the Z is:
1) small V6 DI TT ecoboost
2) small V8 high rev gasoline engine
3) bigger V6 high rev gasoline engine

thats my opinion...

Personally, I hope the keep the Z NA...turbos and superchargers are an easy way to add HP but "easy" seldom if ever truly means "better". I think it accurate to say that any sort of forced induction adds complexity which also adds cost to both manufacturing AND to maintenance (i.e. the total cost of ownership).

If folks want a turbo or supercharged on the vehicles then I would suggest leaving that in the hands of the aftermarket.

Just my $0.02 of course.

I guarantee you lighter cars w/smaller displacement is the direction everyone will start to take soon. That way they can still produce cars that are plenty fast but with better mpg.

...but in many reviews I have heard that the MPG people are getting may be a little less than desirable.

I've seen at least half a dozen driving around SoCal in the past week - these things seem to be selling, at least here.

They don't look to bad. Wonder how good the block internals are - mebbe we'll start seeing Stage 1/2 upgrades soon...
