m4a1mustang, how is your car's transmission holding up? I understand the M82 is having some grinding and engagement problems. From what I've read, it's mostly when the car's cold, but sometimes when it's warm, too. Owners report that there's no permanent fix in sight and that Ford is basically blowing them off. Seems like some 2012 cars are having the problem, too. Is this issue as widespread as the forums make it out to be? TIA

No issues here after 15k. I think a lot of newbies are complaining mostly about the cold shifts. Its nice and smooth when its warm.

I'm at 19.5, been running a race tune for 15, smoothest tranny i've experienced. Waaay shorter throws than I had in my Z.

I stopped by a Ford dealership while the Z was getting an oil change today and test drove a '11 GT and wow, what a power train! So smooth, extremely flexible and provides a nice kick in the pants for sure. They also had a Boss 302 there, I almost laughed my way out of the dealership when I saw the markup:
