Routine maintenance is overrated.

I think the Z to keep up with competition should have a TT or SC (even if it wasn't KRAZY power but just bump up the performance 75-100 for normal driving reliability and competitive price) atleast the plumbing would be their for upgrades if one wished; on the style department...u would think if they added some freakin' working Fender Vents such as the ones MRworks have and even rear side quarter panel Ventz stylin' it would look incredible....I do give PROPS to the 2011 Mustang commercial Black and freakin' menacing....I give a A++++ to the redesign front end I think the 2005 looked alil on the FAT side :P

It definitely would be nice to see the next Z get a nice bump in power! It deserves at least another 50hp.

Especially with the NISMO....and you would think having a BASE model....but no middle ground except in Styling rims and splash guards, NAV, etc....? They should of went all out in the NISMO...made the SPORT Model with the NISMO N/A mods...and then a BASE...they coulda saved alot of money and just kept the NISMO rims for all packages did away with SPORT and definitely kept the 350z rims cuz the BASE Rims are freakin BLAH |

They made 4038. Care to explain how more than twice that many were EXPORTED?
(According to my numbers, 100 went to Europe) Last edited by ImportConvert; 10-26-2010 at 02:54 AM. |

I have to say, the new Mustang GT is quite impressive. I've seen numbers as low as 4.3 seconds for 0-60 but these articles are from months ago. I still can't find anything "official."
To each his own, but I've always found mustangs to be "boring" due to their high popularity (caused by the price range of the base model). I'm sure for the track fiends, I'd be a little worried. For driving around town, I still find us Z owners are on top of everything in our class. Last edited by npdabest; 10-26-2010 at 04:17 AM. |

Quikist 370 Z with bolt on's is Jnaut 12.68. on street tire. 6 MT. He currently is building a rear mounted turbo for his car.
As for fast 350 z im building a 4.2 stroker with wolf 850 ttbb's this winter It should run low 9's.

My '02 Spectra only gets an (dino) oil change when I can't remember when the last one was done. It works better than most Z's in this forum.

I agree with ImportConvert. IME, American cars' drive-trains are tough. My '87 GT had 50K miles when I got rid of it...not a ton of miles, but enough. I didn't abuse the car, but it was well used. The motor never missed a beat. The trans held up well, too. Eventually, the third gear syncro became a bit balky, but it still shifted.
These days, there are few (if any) sacrifices when buying American. Overall quality/fit-and-finish is very competitive. I look forward to seeing what GM does with the C7 Corvette. If they give it nicer seats and interior materials, and a bit more solid feel, it will truly be a world class sports car. |

That's well and good, but we are comparing stock/stock. My friend's civic runs 9's. Noone cares, though. It's got a few bolt-ons here and there. No-longer stock.
