I had a fully bolted Z (tune included) bub, no, I assure you, it could not come close to hanging with my Stang in stock form.

The only thing I really care about is whether or not I get a big grin on my face whenever I hit the loud pedal or take to the twisties over the main roads.

It's also very worth noting that there are things about the Z that I'm really going to miss with the Stang. I felt so incredibly in tune with my Z, felt like I could make it do whatever I wanted. I'm still learning the stang, but I'm sitting a foot higher in the air and it just doesn't feel as planted to me. Maybe it will in time, but the Z solidly trumps the stang in this respect.

FWIW even with the Brembo pack the Mustang does like to move around more than the Z, so it takes some getting used to. Stock for stock the Z is more "point and shoot" and you can get away with treating the throttle as an on/off switch for the most part. You have to be a little more careful in the Mustang. I'm really looking forward to taking to the Dragon with it in two weeks for ZDayZ, especially now that I have a lot of seat time with it.

I will say the Brembo GT and Sport Package 370 are very close. The only difference is feel. Grip levels are nearly the same and they are both pretty nimble and responsive. They just drive differently. There certainly is no lack of fun factor on some back roads with the Mustang, and with a better shock package it would best the M3 rather than match it.
Sounds like you speak from experience.

And yeah, I forgot some of the Base model cars come with only 235s. Depends on which wheels you get.

Formula:
At this weight and hp range, 10hp = about 100 lbs 'Stangs are putting about 390 hp to the ground and weigh 3600 lbs Z's are putting about 275 hp to the ground and weigh 3232 lbs 3600lbs - 3232lbs = 368 lbs The 'Stang at it's current weight would need about 37 more hp to match the Z in acceleration. It has more than an extra 110 on tap. If you could get an extra 73 hp out of bolt-ons, you could match the 'stang.
