The G37 weighs a lot more and is a lot quieter - may be that threw you off?

It is slower than the 370Z due to the weight, but the 370Z is much louder - were you shifting at the same RPM, or how aggressive driving felt?

Actually the g37 convertible will feel the fastest. Go test drive one and you will want to trade in your 370z.

I always find that my G37 has a more linear acceleration but my Z needs to wind up before going. With the G37, I can feel a better pull and is less dangerous...but the Z is def. faster.

Get a G37 sedan since you think it's faster than a 370z.
You obviously can't drive which means your better off in a family car.

Z is faster but I doubt by much, in the two cars he compared.

The G37S sedan is lighter than the G37S coupe.
Non sport Sedan is lighter than a Sedan "S"

Now comparing a Journey sedan that doesn't have the heavy sport pack options, compared to a Z that has the heavy sport options and possibly other options as well will probably give the sedan a faster feeling. And the weight difference isn't so far fetched, but Z still takes the win.

You probably felt that way because the G non sport has a softer suspension, which makes it dive and squat more. That always makes it feel faster, when it really isnt. The G37 also in my experience, has a very touchy gas pedal which also increases the effect. Feelings do not equal reality.
