Mazda Shinari Concept

New Concept from Mazda. Reminds me of the Infiniti Essence Concept. What do you guys think? Kind of shows where the next RX-8/7 is headed.

Not sure how I feel about that. The back kind of reminded me of a Solara coupe at first glance...

A turbocharged 16X Rotary would bring it closer to the Z in terms of performance. I just hope they found solutions that held back the RX-8 from being better than it should be (just look at the Speedsource RX-8's). More power and def more torque. I can live with the oil consumption and gas mileage issue. The balance and handling on that car was perfect, but you would lose to a minivan in a straight line.

For a second there I thought someone had just photoshopped the Mazda logo onto the Infiniti logo. Damn Mazda! Just cuz your Nagare design sucked balls, doesn't mean you should give up on coming up with your own design. Don't become a Hyundai please!!!

The Furai was pretty sweet actually. Even though I do think it has a lot of elements from the Essence, it has some cues from the Nagare and the wheel arches from the RX-8. The Essence was a great looking car, so its not easy to call this a fail.

No doubt the Essence is a gorgeous car. If I had all the money in the world, the Essence would be the look of my car over the Italia. So I guess if you are going to copy a design, might as well copy one of the best.

This probably has more to do with the next Mazda 6 then the RX.

I voted that I don't care since concepts are worthless unless it's of a specific model IMO.
