I think the Mustang's 5 liter has a lot more in common. Similar variable cam setups, etc. Think of Ford's 5 liter as a nissan 3.7 but with 2 more pistons.

I don't think of it that way at all. Throw two extra cylinders on the VQ and you don't have anything similar to the 5.0. The 5 is just way too smooth.

Anyways, it's REALLY wide so I doubt it'd work in a Z. It would be cool if it could but an LS is going to fit much, much easier.
