The 5.0 gets more and more intriguing to me every day. If it wasn't for the fact that everyone and their mother owns one, I might think about trading my 370 in for one.

It matters to you that much what other people think about your ride or that you won't be "special" enough? 99% of people you encounter every day won't care. Own the vehicle that best fills you up inside. If that is a torquey V8 will a lot of mod potential, then the 5.0 is going to do it for you.

if I got the mustang it would be the second one in belgium. According to a friend who works at the place where they give out the number plates only one new 5.0 is registered in belgium.

I test Drove a 2011 5.0 today.

I liked the car a lot. Met my expectations.

The 5.0 and 370Z are such different driving experiences.
I like each for different reasons.
If I had the coin I'd own both of them.

The Z is the perfect canyon carver and the Stang to Cruise the Highways.

Which 5.0 did you drive? Regular or Brembo package car?

6MT with Comfort Package and 19" wheels
unfortunatley they did not have a Brembo car on the lot.

If I could pull the trigger on a GT I'd take a Brembo car with the 3.73

You can get a crazy deal on an '11 GT right now. There are some dealers out here with a a ton of '11's on the lot and they are willing to deal.

Believe me I've crunched the numbers and if I didn't have to eat beans for 2 years a 5.0 would be parked next to my Z right now.

Ah yeah, the Brembo cars feel a lot different than the regular ones (they are about as stiff as a NISMO).

I was in the same boat... I'd love to have the 370 (in Roadster form) and a 5.0 in the garage!

The Non Brembo cars ride felt almost like a luxury car to me.
Very airy... I think if I test drove a Black Brembo car I'd do something dumb... I'd buy it.

The Coyote is just Evil. And that's what keeps calling me.

It's the smoothest engine I've had the pleasure of driving. Torquey as hell in the low range and it just pulls all the way to 7k. Love it.

I hear ya on buying one. I was being a good boy for a few months keeping myself out of Ford showrooms, 'til one day I showed up to the weekly Z meet and no one else was there. So, I went to the dealership, test drove one, and the rest was history! To think if only someone had showed up to the meet. :icon17:

Really? I drove the brembo package, and I didn't find it stiff at all. I still thought it was very comfortable. IMO, other than looks(subjective) and handling, the stang is a superior car. Hopefully I don't get mauled for saying this...lol.

One day I will face a choice, either buy a new car or buy a new engine.

It was definitely stiffer than my Z, that's for sure. It's NOT as stiff as a NISMO with the shipping spacers left in (:icon17:) but I feel like it's pretty close to a regular NISMO. Closer to the NISMO than the regular Z in terms of stiffness, IMO.

They'll never make THAT mistake again, Steve! Who knows where you'd shop next! You'll show up with a Lambo or LFA. That'll teach 'em
