Drive the Z while you're paying it off. Wait a few years. If you still feel like the Stang is better, "trade up" at that point. That's just my $0.02

But if you really want the Mustang it's best to get out now before the Z loses more value.

You've already lost the most value on the Z at this point when you drove it off the lot. It's a gamble. How much more will it depreciate over time?

Hey, if you're not having fun with your Z, maybe it's time to "upgrade". I'm still in love with mine. And I bought it knowing full well that faster alternatives were right around the corner.

Same here and I love the Z, but my first car was a Mustang and that connection the Z will never have. I just really have to decide if that connction is really worth the money at this point. My heart tells me yes yes yes, but my mind tells me no no no. In a few years after the next gen. Z comes out if I'm not thrilled with it, I'm sure I'll be back in a Stang.

Yeah, when my beater dies, I'm thinking I might trade it and the Z for a Beema Beema (like some super mods have), but I'm a ways off and a few dollars short of worrying about that yet.

I think the hit I'd take in upgrading is more than worth it. The Boss 302 is a very special car for Ford, and Ford enthusiasts. This car boasts a lot of tech, which makes it very unique. Also, upgrading into more power is always good, especially when you consider the aftermarket potential of this car.

See thats something I don't get and perhaps you can help me understand. Whats the point of Beema Beema. I think its a bit repetitive don't ya think? Couldn't it just be one 'Beema'

I understand completely. There will always be a better car. But its a little more than that to me. I'll try to explain as best as I can on the limited time I have:

1. I came from a Mustang, and they will always be special to me. It had a lot of personality, noise, and appeal. It was, and still is, a great and capable car. The return of the 5.0 really peaked my interest.

2. As much as I like the Z, I can't help but think about some of the issues the Z has, and in my mind, shouldn't have given the type of driver it attracts. We have all read about these at some point; oil temp issues, fuel starvation, "ice-mode", engine harshness, etc. Many people won't be affected by any of these issues, myself included, but it tarnishes my thoughts of the car, and quite frankly, really upsets me.

1. This new Mustang is very successful right now -- it ain't going away any time soon. The Boss may be limited, but this beast is here to stay. You can afford to wait, but there's nothing wrong with buying now if that's what feels right to you.

2. If I'm not experiencing the issue at hand, I don't really let it bother me. Are you worried about the image of the car? Because I'm not. I bought it for my own fun and enjoyment. Let the haters hate.

I think what it really boils down to is that I feel the Boss is more appealing to me, than the Z, for whatever reason. We will see though. I haven't thrown in the towel as I do like my Z a lot. I just might like the Boss more

Exactly, I went from a 4 door diesel 4x4 pickup to a 2 seater sports car, obviously not for the practicallity but because it makes me happy.

Wait a second. We've gone fully 4 pages without anyone knee-jerk hating the Mustang (in any serious sense). Is that a record?
