Nope. Sold rims separate though.

Someone got a beast of an S2k. I looking forward to what you do with the Z.

Yeah. Unfortunately the new owner seems to be struggling with the car a little.

I'm planning on leaving the Z stock. I sold the S because I can't afford to spend every night in the garage these days. I'll probably just do coils/exhaust/rims and call the Z good, at least for a couple years...

What kind of problems were you having? I am curious because I was going to ask you the reliability of your S2K making so much power.

How often do you have to do maintenance on it?

Nothing specifically, she was just kind of finicky. I especially spent a lot of time making sure the drivetrain was in good shape and what-not. The IP kit allowed for an effective mounting of the R200 to the car, but it's still a Nissan diff on a Honda, and inevitably stuff worked it's way loose faster than usual.

I wound up swapping the clutch out, since the carbon clutch I had in it required 10-15 minutes to warm up before driving off, which was kind of a pain.

Having to run different tunes depending on the weather was kind of a pain as well...and making sure the stupid thing passed inspection was not the most fun I spent.

That would be a stop light surprise for the Guy next to you when you took off ! Nice one RZ. Thanks for the pics. I would smell like rubber everytime I drove something like this and the tire store would be in my Speed dial.

It was quite a sleeper when people didn't notice the intercooler...or the fact that it sounded like a jet with the 3 inch exhaust piping (or like several jets when the pipe was open).

Pics in the OP updated-- the links went bad.

Do you sell it to a guy in Alberta, Canada?

Very sick car!

My favorite part is that it looks like it has 190whp.

VERY NICELY DONE!

How was traction? It looks like that power hit hard/fast once it did hit. Could you fit enough tire under there to manage it?

S2Kfromhell kept breaking driveline parts. Playing with me, or shortly after as I recall, he broke his transmission case near the output shaft if I remember correctly. Stuff I don't have a clue how you could "beef up". That was on his 4XX whp street tune. Is there a way to actually bulletproof the S2K's driveline for any sensible amount of money (Say, less than a new Z06 or Viper or something that makes near that power with only light mods)?

There's really not much that can be done with the trans. A lot of guys that built their for drag swapped the trans out for something different. I ran the car with the AP2 trans for the most part, although I briefly tried out a dogbox. I think the guy that bought it from me actually wound up blowing the AP2 trans, though I never really had any issues, provided I was careful with shifting. I think a cryo treated AP2 trans would hold up pretty well.

The diff is pretty easy. There's a guy now that will reinforce the casing and cryo treat the gears pretty inexpensively. I actually had the diff from a 300ZX twin turbo mounted up on my build.

Realistically, it's never going to be as reliable as something off the showroom floor though. I spent most evenings tightening bolts and making sure everything was working right-- things most people don't really want to do with their cars. I didn't have the time to play with it anymore, which is how I would up with the Z.

It was even better at the drag strip-- I had a set of AP1 stockers with drag radials. Car looked totally stock to a lot of people.

Nope. Bought the car in pieces as kind of an abandoned build from a guy in GA.
