There was actually a ton of wheel spin. It's tough to grip in an s2k with even 200 ft lbs of tq. The car would actually run the 1/4 in about the same time regardless of whether it was on the 700hp tune or the 500, simply due to an inability to grip. Trap speeds were way different though.

4.5k RPM's =

The r200 atually held pretty well.

tbonesteak 09-02-2010 01:31 PM

Yep. From a 300zx.

Sick car! What was your best ET/Trap speed?

As for the lack of tq comments.....300lft/b of tq at 5Krpms, when the car only weighs 3,000 is probably plenty :) The gearing is much shorter then a 370 so you are rarely below 4k rpms anyways.

I'm sure the combination of all of that boost, coupled with vtec, was an insane feeling from 6-10k rpms

LOL at torque curve sucks. It is not anywhere near flat but there's way more than enough torque there down low for that little thing.

It was more than fine for a straight line, which is what it was built for. It was a little crappy trying to handle the twisties though, since it was so inconsistent...:driving:
