280z rims
i friend wants to buy a set of old 280z rims with tires, for $400
these are the rims, they are 16x8. just wondering if anyone knew if this was a good deal or not http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w213/h22euror/c7.jpg |
Sounds like a good deal if they are authentic.
|
they are aftermarket, the 280 only came with 14 and 15" rims. Still for 400, not a bad deal.

thanks guys ill let my buddy know

definitely not 280z or 280zx wheels. Those are way to modern for a 70's or early 80's era car. If he is planning on putting them on his 280z I would research carefully. The bolt pattern and offset for the old Z's is not a common match to today's wheels. If you need examples of some authentic 280z or 280zx wheels let me know. There are literally only a handful that Nissan made for the different years.

good deal

That is not a 280z factory rim. I am also doubtful that it is the right offset.

well my friend has an acura cl that he would be putting them on but he asked me if i knew about these rims since they are nissan looking

If you are referring to the Z logo on the center cap as for why it looks Nissan made then you are wrong. That is a sears brand wheel that for what ever reason uses the Z logo for it. Back in the day I wanted a similar set for my 300zx simply due to the Z logo. Those wheels never came from any Nissan and are a wheel that you could or possibly still can buy from Sears. I'd check their price first to see what they sell for new prior to making an offer
