Sounds good, but the cost is creeping into 370Z territory, so they better make sure the car is fast for that price...

They might try to subsidize it for the US market, yes it will be X amount in Japan, but in the US they may get a 24k price to help sell it.
No turbo version is interesting, but that might be because of Subaru doing a turbo version they do not want to tread on that. The question then comes, is slapping a turbo on this car going to be easy since Subaru is doing it, or is Subaru going to up the internals from what Toyota is doing?

Of course that price is also for the mid level spec meaning it should have a cheaper base version.

Seems the Genesis Coupe will be the direct competition to this, not the 370z.

370Z starts around 3.6 million yen so it should be considerably cheaper in the US (low 20's).

If that's true then I guess it just has to be faster than the Genesis, which should be easy to accomplish because that car is pretty slow from what I've read...

And it means a top of the line turbo model just might be pretty damn quick

Not according to Motor Trend that compared the Genesis to the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang.

The editors of that magazine are smoking something good...

I know they are bias but give me a f*cking break with those articles!

i read that it's going to be equiped with subaru engines. if that thing has a turbo STI engine, im going to have to trade in the Z.

If you want the turbo version you will have to wait for Subaru to produce theirs, Toyota said they are doing the non-turbo engine.
