It is not a Pontiac - it is a LH drive Holden Commodore, built in South Australia by
General Motors Holden, based on the Commodore VE II platform which is designed in OZ.

This vehicle is also exported to the Middle East badged as Chev Lumina.

If you want to see what the local hot-up merchants do to them, have a look at HSV.com.au - The Official Holden Special Vehicles Website

The latest local incarnation runs 317Kw LS3 with 355mm front brakes, riding on 20" wheels, but they are HEAVY .... ~1800kgs .....

Seen one on my way home from work yesterday, that thing just looks like a fat ass, I dont think i'd have any trouble with my current setup shittin all over it. Straights or twisties, take your pick. Its the latest incarnation of the GTO and I've raced my share of them, favoring me of course

Porsche 914? And wow, you even beat a 240Z? And you blew the doors off two 370Z's? And then you woke up?

Sorry, but it's not physically possible for any sedan to run quicker than a 14 second quarter mile or do the skidpad any better than .87.

I had an IS350 (306hp), and I don't really think it's any faster than my Z. It was still a very fast car though. I miss the Mark Levinson sound system in that thing.

The sound system in every Lexus I sit in is amazing. I got to ride in one of the first SC430's in the U.S. and it had the Mark Levinson sound system. It was amazing.
