My white G37
 

Did my roof and my valence gloss black. I bought a blank roll and just made a template for the rear valence. For the roof I just laid it on and trimmed it to size. I removed the roof rails and the nav antenna which made the install MUCH easier and cleaner. Very happy with the results.

I also have some left over vinyl that I am going to sell. If you are looking for a single piece of vinyl to do the roof in gloss black I'll be posting in the classifieds in the next couple weeks.

AK I'm flattered but slightly creeped out at the same time:p. It's been nice to see the Z community grow so quickly. I joined back when I was looking for a car, deciding between the Z,G, 335, or Lexus IS. I quickly narrowed it down to the Z or the G but in the end I couldn't justify having my only car be a 2 seater sports car. I still have a soft spot for the Z but right now I only have room for one DD and the G had the right blend for me.

That said.... I drove the Nismo 370 a few weeks ago and it reminded me why I wanted the Z in the first place! It just feels so nimble and planted through the corners, but I'm still happy with my choice, especially after a few mods to help it in the performance department.


The G37 community is much smaller and slower to get goodies, but it has enough to keep me busy. I actually got the inspiration for this project from Simota, another OG, who did a similar project on his Z a long time ago. I thought it would be nice to come full circle and post my pictures over here too.

Luckily I park in that garage so I can go back and take a picture on that ramp anytime. I took it from the rear to showcase the valence, my front is still kind of "plain" because the headlight housings are unpainted, I have an ugly front plate (grr Virginia) and no splitter.

Love the output and the color of your headlights. Is that your OEM bulbs? or aftermarket bulbs? If so, which brand? 6000K?

Haha thanks Crown. Yea I've been around for a while but I felt like a jedi turned to the dark side when I bought my G instead of the Z. Finally thought it was time to man up and post some pictures.

Thanks, HID's are DDMtuning 6000K. Honestly I don't know much about them, I got them from a friend that did a HID foglight kit and ended up switching to 3000K. I also changed out parking light bulb to 6000K LED from V-led and they did a good job of getting rid of the nasty yellow glow.

Sweet! I'll drive by DDM Tuning in HB and pickup some bulbs.
